Our Network

We are an official Local Internet Registry (LIR) and run our own network rather than reselling somebody else’s. As a LIR we receive IP addresses directly from RIPE NCC, the regional internet registry for Europe — they are allocated to the association, not rented from a provider.

• 1 × 10 Gbit/s wavelength between the two datacentres
• 2 × 10 Gbit/s to SwissIX — PeeringDB
• 2 × 10 Gbit/s to Community-IX

• IPv4: a /22 PA allocation — 185.95.216.0/22
• IPv6: a /29 PA allocation — 2a05:fc80::/29

Every member receives both an IPv4 and an IPv6 address for their server. More IP addresses are possible, subject to justification and availability. PI address space through CommunityRack as sponsoring LIR is possible; please ask us about the costs involved.

• Core routers: Redundant Supermicro 5018D-FN8T running Ubuntu and FRRouting
• Access routers: Arista, Juniper and Cisco
