A rack of our own
CommunityRack.org is a Swiss non-profit association providing community colocation infrastructure in Zürich for individuals and other Swiss associations.
We are an official RIPE LIR and run our own network: your data and services, under your control, on Swiss soil.

Our association is made possible by our fantastic sponsors
A club full of geeks with a passion for internet technology
It takes a certain fondness for technology to run your own internet infrastructure as an association. A large part of our member base works in IT and knows the challenges and subtleties of datacentre operations first hand.
We like to experiment and try new things with a healthy sprinkling of yolo-as-a-service, while ensuring our network infrastructure is rock solid.

Rack space in two Zürich datacentres, priced by height units and power, with the cost shared fairly between members.
Our own ASN and IP allocations from RIPE, 10 Gbit/s transit and peering at SwissIX, Community-IX, CH-IX, and FogIXP.
A mailing list, a members' chat, and a monthly (B|P)eering where the members actually meet.
A collected overview of other community projects running colocation or internet exchanges.
From 1 July 2022 the association runs an administrative office in Dietikon — with a real letterbox.
The general meeting of 3 March 2021 agreed a price reduction across membership, colocation and power.
Membership includes participation in our meetups and a vote at the general meeting.
Colocation is charged separately, by height unit.
